Cannon’s Cove is an indoor pirate-and-mermaid–themed playground designed for kids to climb, explore, and burn energy in a safe, clean, and exciting environment. With multi-level play structures, slides, soft-play zones, and activities for toddlers through big kids, it’s the perfect spot for families to play, celebrate birthdays, and enjoy year-round fun.

The Environmental Learning Center is a 64-acre lagoon-island nature center in the heart of the biodiverse Indian River Lagoon in Vero Beach, Florida. Open seven days a week (free for members), the ELC invites visitors to explore 2,000 gallons of aquariums, a touch tank, live-animal exhibits, wander miles of boardwalk trails, get creative in the Imagination Station, and play and discover in the Nature Playscape. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower people of all ages to become active stewards of the environment and their own well-being.

Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum offers an exciting, kid-friendly adventure through the world of shipwrecks and discovery. Young visitors can explore the museum with a Treasure Map filled with riddles and scavenger hunt items to find as they move through the exhibits. Several hands-on experiences including digital interactive treasure hunting as well as a sailors knot trying station. The gift shop also features a wide variety of kid-focused treasures, toys, and pirate-themed trinkets to complete the visit.

The Vero Beach Book Center spans 12,500 square feet and offers a broad selection of books for readers of all ages. Established in 1975 by Tom and Linda Leonard, the Book Center has grown into a long-standing part of the Vero Beach community and remains Vero's only independent bookstore. The second floor is dedicated to our children’s department, featuring an extensive array of books alongside a carefully curated collection of toys.
